2018 Hot Wheels Honda Series

Honda was founded way back in the 1940's, which they started with motorbikes..
In the late 1960's only they started to go into cars, and till now, they keep coming out with cool design with enhanced engineering, on the road and racing tracks.

Mattel decided to come up with a Special Series for Honda casting for 2018.
Below are the selection of casting which included in the Series.
Not sure whether they gonna continue with some of the Honda casting left out.

As for Malaysian market, it was sold at selected toy shops, and TRU, but from what I heard, for US market it would a released as Walmart/Kmart Exclusive. I might be wrong.
If they do, would it come with a card variation? Hopefully not..

It comes in a box of 36.
If you are lucky to open a sealed case, it comes with 4 sets of 8 and 4 extra cars, in this case was he Honda EF, 2006 Honda Civic Si, Honda Odyssey and Honda Racer.
Had some info from other friends, whom open their cases and not having 4 sets, some got 3 sets, some got 2 sets with multiple other casting

#01/08
1985 Honda CRX

#02/08
'90 Honda Civic EF.
Even they have these extra, it will be flying out from the pegs in split seconds..

#03/08
Honda Civic Si
Another sort after casting.

#04/08
'06 Honda Civic Si.
Not many seems to like this, probably the choice of color and wheels.

#05/08
Honda Monkey Z50.

#06/08
Honda Racer.
Wonder why the choose this casting?
Digging the wheels thou.

#07/08
Honda S2000

#08/08
Honda Odyssey
The color make it look like a Proton Exora, local car manufacturer.

Still wondering thou why does the Honda Civic EP3 and Honda Integra didn't make the cut for the series.. or probably Mattel has a 2nd released for the Series.

However, the price for these series in the after market has rises tremendously, so get yours while its cheap..

Enjoy the pics...
Cheers.

Shopping overseas..

Due to the limited resources and ridiculous prices of Hot Wheels, Matchbox and Greenlights local here in Malaysia, I have to sort myself buying from ebay..

There are good deals on ebay, patience is the key..
This means that I would not be bidding on every single good deals I see, basically, i try to be a cheapskate on purchasing them.

Yesterday, my parcel from US has arrived from a proxy in US.. Where all my purchases is bundled in a places in US, and then repacked to be shipped here..

Check out some of the items I got from the bay during a 4 months shopping..

Thank you Fedex, It arrives in Malaysia within 4 days..
A service worth paying for..

Bunch of Loose cars obtained during a 4 month shopping spree

That Transporter is dope.. downside is that its too plasticky

Cardeds.. Makes we wonder sometimes, what did I buy...

Close-up.. Love DD.. Never got sick of buying multiples of them..

Mystery Cars, Tin Sets... and more DD..

More close-up.. Ferrari and JDMs...

More close-up on JDM and Matchboxes..

Super Street Series.. and the Holy Grail of 2001 Honda Civic with PC6 wheels

The Beatles..
why not when it is dirt cheap..

I don't buy only Hot Wheels and Matchboxes..
Greenlights are not to be forgotten, and the Disney Cars is for a friend.

Buzz me if one requires a trade.
Cheers..

2017 Car Culture Modern Classic

Recently Hot Wheels released their new Car Culture series for 2017..
Modern Classic. Code #DJF77-956K
Quite good selection of cars especially the First Edition Mercedes 190e.
Simple design with decent tampo and fine lines..
One of the worth keeping set IMHO..

Manage to secure some cases/sets for my buyers..
Hard to come by nowadays.

Check out the unboxing boxset video below..

The complete set of 5.
Awesome card design.

#1/5 - '92 BMW M3.
Decent design, hate those wheels thou..
Should have use the previous wheels from the Road Race Series instead.

#2/5 - '85 Honda CR-X
Its kinda hard to get a nice design/tampo for this car..
From the whole CRX variation, only a piece or 2 looks worthy..

#3/5 - Porsche 964..
Simple yet elegant.. Goin bonkers for demm wheels..
Good job Mattel

#4/5 - Renault 5 Turbo
The most underated car in the series.
But this time I think Mattel hit a spot for this among collectors.

#5/5 - Mercedes Benz 190E 2.5-16 Evo II
The most awaited casting after so many sneak preview goin on the internet.
Simple design, nice detailing and those wheels hit the spot.

This surprisingly comes in a short wave in Malaysia market..
Sold out quite fast among collectors.

Enjoy the pics.. and feel free to comment.
Cheers...
