2018 Car Culture Japan Historics 2

"The term "Japanese domestic market" refers to Japan's home market for vehicles. For the importer, these terms refers to vehicles and parts designed to conform to Japanese regulations and to suit Japanese buyers.

Japanese domestic market vehicles may differ greatly from the cars that Japanese manufacturers build for export and vehicles derived from the same platforms built in other countries. The Japanese car owner looks more toward innovation than long-term ownership which forces Japanese car makers to refine new technologies and designs first in domestic vehicles." - Wikipedia

The long anticipated Car Culture series finally hits the Malaysian Market..
For Japanese car fans, this is the continuation from the 2016 Japan Historics, and here is the lates Japan Historics 2.

Some of my arrived stocks locally, for myself and friends..

The Unboxing Video.

10 Cards or 2 Sets which came in the cases.

The complete Set of 5.
2 new casting were introduced in the set.
Nissan Laurel 2000 SGX & Nissan Skyline C210

Datsun Bluebird 510.
The most sort after casting.
I wish Mattel would stop doin this casting anymore.
After market prices are goin bonkers for the casting, just don't find it interesting to collect anymore.

Mazda RX3.
3rd offically released of the cating.

Nissan Fairlady Z
4th variants of its kind.

Nissan Laurel 2000 SGX
First of its kind. This casting is awesome..

Nissan Skyline C210.
First of its kind, now joining the series of Skylines.
Hoping that Mattel would come out with an exclusive series comprises of the Skyline's family..

Card comparison between JH1 and JH2.
Not complaining why the JH2 comes with a bigger card thou, the graphics on the looks good.

Additional spaces required to keep these.
Bigger cards, more spaces but then I am not keeping them carded thou..
Will post up some loose pics hopefully soon.

Enjoy the pics.

From a galaxy far far away....

The title says it all..

Here are the 2017 Pop Culture Star Wars.
Case # DLB45-934L

Comes with 12pcs Carded, 2 sets of 6 pcs..
But this does not cover the main character of the Star Wars franchise, instead, they only chooses the Bounty Hunters..
I didn't realise there are so many Bounty Hunters, well at least I knew Jango Fett and Boba Fett..
Check them out...

The unboxing video.

The box containers..

The complete set.
Some nice cars, weird characters, not fancy the carded thou...

1/6 - Boba Fett
'60s Ford Econoline Pickup.
First release of the casting.

2/6 Boss K
Deco Delivery

3/6 IG-88
'70 Chevelle Delivery

4/6 Zuckuss
Chevy Silverado Off Road

5/6 4-Lom
'64 GMC Panel

6/6 Dengar
Ford Transit Super Van

Seriously I do not know these Bounty Hunters.. Probably due to I did not follow the story as much..
I wonder how does Mattel decided to choose which character to fit what casting.
Overall is a nice piece if you are a carded collector, but unlike me, I loose everything..

The only 3 casting which I collect from the series.

The decals/graphics on the casting really sucks.

'60s Ford Econoline Pickup Truck.
The truck looks good..

It has a skateboard on the flatbed.

I like it when the do these detail touch, Ford name emboss to the rear truck.
But the paint totally ruins it all..
Looks thick..

'64 GMC Panel
Been collecting this casting way back when it was first introduce in the Delivery Series.

Clean and simply elegant.

Chevy Silverado Off Road.
Always a fan of 4x4.. and those RealRiders makes such a difference.

Rear view..

If you are a fan of Star Wars, this set would looks good in your collection.
Lucky enough they are kinda expensive, stops me from getting them just for the RealRiders.

Enjoy the pics.
Cheers.

Shopping overseas..

Due to the limited resources and ridiculous prices of Hot Wheels, Matchbox and Greenlights local here in Malaysia, I have to sort myself buying from ebay..

There are good deals on ebay, patience is the key..
This means that I would not be bidding on every single good deals I see, basically, i try to be a cheapskate on purchasing them.

Yesterday, my parcel from US has arrived from a proxy in US.. Where all my purchases is bundled in a places in US, and then repacked to be shipped here..

Check out some of the items I got from the bay during a 4 months shopping..

Thank you Fedex, It arrives in Malaysia within 4 days..
A service worth paying for..

Bunch of Loose cars obtained during a 4 month shopping spree

That Transporter is dope.. downside is that its too plasticky

Cardeds.. Makes we wonder sometimes, what did I buy...

Close-up.. Love DD.. Never got sick of buying multiples of them..

Mystery Cars, Tin Sets... and more DD..

More close-up.. Ferrari and JDMs...

More close-up on JDM and Matchboxes..

Super Street Series.. and the Holy Grail of 2001 Honda Civic with PC6 wheels

The Beatles..
why not when it is dirt cheap..

I don't buy only Hot Wheels and Matchboxes..
Greenlights are not to be forgotten, and the Disney Cars is for a friend.

Buzz me if one requires a trade.
Cheers..

It's a mad, mad .... Mad Magazine

It's a mad, MAD Magazine..

Introducing the newly release 2017 Pop Culture Series, Mad Magazine.

Mad (very often stylized as MAD) is an American humor magazine founded in 1952 by editor Harvey Kurtzman and publisher William Gaines,[3] launched as a comic book before it became a magazine. It was widely imitated and influential, affecting satirical media, as well as the cultural landscape of the 20th century, with editor Al Feldstein increasing readership to more than two million during its 1974 circulation peak.[4] As of January 2017, Mad has published 544 regular issues, as well as hundreds of reprint "Specials", original material paperbacks, compilation books and other print projects.
- Info taken from Wikipedia

Read the magazine when I was young but couldn't really understand the humor back then..
And now Mattel is bringing some of the humor into Hot Wheels..

The Cases Code # DLB45-934K

Unboxing video of the case.

12 casting per cases. And the gave 2 crappy extras.
Why can't the give more of the Dodge A100..
Definitely better then the wiener looking casting and a sealed Chevy Panel.

The Mad Magazine set.

MAD Trademark.. on a '64 Chevy Nova Panel

The Mad Famous Agent Black
'66 Dodge A100

The Mad Famous Agent White
'66 Dodge A100

'55 Chevy Panel
I absolutely adore the casting but was totally put off when Mattel decided to put crappy colors and design with the sealed rear door which they previously had on its predecessors..

Haulin gas
Was never a fan of this casting.
And now with that color, this gonna be peg warmers, until someone decided to get them just for the realriders.

Hoping that in 2018, Mattel decided to do much interesting series like the old Garage Series..
Miss the good old days..

Enjoy the pics.

What a beautiful finds..

Had an extra 2017 International Case Q which I put on sale for a couple of weeks, but no one seems to be wanting them as all are eyeing on the 2018 Case A..

During yesterday booth sale in Amcorp Mall flea market, I decided to open that case and sell the cards individually instead..

And to my surprised, a gift.. A Super Treasure Hunts Nissan Fairlady Z...

Suddenly all the other cars doesn't seem to be interesting...

What a beauty...
Good thing nobody purchased that case..

Enjoy the pics.
